Bill Munro

Bill Munro was recognised as the Outstanding Indigenous Queensland Lawyer in 2019 and is involved in many community associations in his spare time.

Bill has a special interest in institutional abuse cases which enables him to use his qualifications and experience in seeking justice for people who, as juveniles, were subjected to abuse in Government and Church-run institutions such as juvenile justice correctional centres and schools.

He recognises that many of those abused were young, naïve, Aboriginal youths at the time of their abuse and as he identifies as Aboriginal himself, he feels that he can be effective in assisting these victims as well as non-Indigenous victims.

He also is involved in many cases relating to people injured in car accidents and in work related incidents.

Finally, he has a particular interest outside of the Personal Injuries sphere in the area of Wills and Estates administration and has been involved a number of cases involving disputed wills, both for people who have thought that they had not been adequately provided for in a Will and for the executors of some Wills who were being sued by family members of the deceased who were not adequately provided for by the deceased.
